Fat Girl Friday - 03/08/2024 - Week 10 - Ships Look Pretty In The Harbor

Listening to Trent Shelton's live broadcast on Wednesday morning (March 6th) he said something that hit directly home. He quoted one of his friends "Ships look pretty in the harbor, but that's not what they are meant for, they are meant for the troubled waters" And this made my ears ring and the world stop spinning, because it's SO true.

I will never progress if I don't leave the harbor, but at the same time I won't survive the troubled waters if I don't properly prepare and stock up on supplies.

Which is what I've been doing my entire dirty 30's .... preparing and stocking up on life skills and experience as I sort out who's really on the Squad, who's really got my best intentions at heart, who I am, what my genuine feelings are, and more so who I am as a mother.

Now that I'm re-introduced to the woman I left behind at the starting line due to the trauma of losing Deshaun so early, I've established BIG girl goals and have been working on setting up (and sticking to) new routines and healthy habits (hence the 21 and Done that I'm nailing)

Which means... this ship has taken off out of the harbor... fully stocked with the supplies, tools and weaponry to handle the troubled waters and fight off the negative pirate ships that are coming with the intent of stealing my treasured peace.

If you haven't taken the time to get to know your own ship, and stock it with essentials, that's okay.... I left a supply list in the harbor, take the parts you're missing, take proper time to prepare and then.... Follow Me <3
